Scout & Guide visit to the International Space Olympics

On Wednesday 15th October 2003, a group of scouts and guides from Keighley, West Yorkshire, UK will be travelling to the 'Space City' of Korolev, near Moscow to film the Space Olympics. Whilst we will be in Space City the Expedition 8 crew (Including British Astronaut Michael Foale) will be launching their Soyuz rocket to visit the International Space Station. St David's School Farewell Concert 4 July 2003 Children at St Agnes School in Headingley, Leeds have been participating in an amazing project which will culminate in their work being launched into space on the NASA Space Shuttle in January 2003. The project is an experiment to measure the decay of satellite orbits as they circle the earth at a height of 350km and a speed of 20,000 miles per hour. Full story and links...
